Melissa Hamlin, Esq. worked ten years in environmental consulting throughout the Northeast, addressing permitting challenges, innovative solutions and negotiations for the best outcomes between companies and regulators.
Layered upon a science background and applied environmental expertise, her knowledge of the law includes robust understanding of Maine's environmental statutes and municipal ordinances. She has worked in Maine's Office of the Attorney General and in Portland's Corporation Counsel office during internships, and conducted research as part of the Sustainability Solutions Initiative, a National Science Foundation project. Attorney Hamlin works collaboratively with other members of the Maine bar and is actively involved with local nonprofits and in community leadership.
